General
Where is the EFB? It disappeared from the cockpit.
The EFB can be hidden with a clickspot in the Captain’s document storage pocket. When the EFB is hidden, a smartphone is placed in the pocket instead. Click the same spot to bring the EFB back. See Hidden / Show EFB Clickspot.
How do I get the aircraft ready quickly without a full cold and dark start?
Use the States page in the EFB (Aircraft → States). Autostart starts the aircraft for you, Turnaround sets up the electrics and lights for the next leg without touching the engines, and Cold & Dark shuts everything down. See EFB — States.
How do I switch between the passenger and military cabin, or change avionics?
All configuration options are in the EFB under Aircraft → Customization, including the cabin layout, autopilot panel, pedestal GPS, radio panel, and flight instruments. You do not need to select a different aircraft. See EFB — Customization.
Engines & Propellers
My engine won’t start.
Check that:
- The Power Lever is at GROUND IDLE.
- The propeller is on the start locks. If the previous shutdown was done without moving the Power Levers to reverse, the propeller may not be on the locks.
- The Fuel Switch is OPEN and the fuel booster pumps are on.
Follow the Automatic Ground Start checklist step by step. For a first start of the day, or with oil temperature below 5°C, a series (48V) battery start is recommended.
Why do my left and right engines show slightly different EGT, oil pressure, or fuel flow?
This is expected. Through Extended Engine Simulations, each engine has its own characteristics that develop over its service life. See Extended Engine Simulations.
The CHIP DETECTOR light is on.
The engine oil has accumulated contamination. Repair or replace the engine from the EFB Maintenance page. See Contamination and Chip Detection.
My RPM Levers keep moving on their own.
SmartCopilot Propeller Levers Automation is active. Disable it in the EFB under Options → SmartCopilot if you want to manage propeller RPM yourself. See SmartCopilot.
Systems
My flaps don’t move.
The flaps need hydraulic pressure. Make sure the HYD PUMP switch on the overhead panel is ON and check the hydraulic pressure gauge. If the electric pump is unavailable, the manual hand pump can be used to restore pressure. See Hydraulic System.
SmartCopilot can also manage the hydraulic pump automatically. See Hydraulic Pumps Automation.
The flight controls are locked on the ground.
The gust lock is engaged. Disengage the Gust Lock Lever before takeoff, as listed in the Before Takeoff checklist, or let SmartCopilot manage it automatically.
The weather radar shows nothing.
The weather radar antenna is powered by AC power from the inverter bus. Make sure the AC inverters are on, then set the radar mode knob to ON and select a weather mode. See Weather Radar.
Autopilot
The SPZ-200 autopilot engages but doesn’t control pitch.
The SPZ-200 only takes control of pitch when PITCH COUPLE is active. After engaging, press PITCH COUPLE, then set the vertical speed with the AP Pitch/VS Command knob. See Using Pitch Control.
EFB & Integrations
How do I load my SimBrief flight plan?
Create your flight plan with the ProjectMAX (MSFS) – C-212-200 Aviocar airframe, then enter your SimBrief User ID in the EFB under Options → General. See SimBrief Integration.
Navigraph charts don’t load.
An active Navigraph subscription is required to use charts in the EFB. See Navigraph.
The GTN 750 option doesn’t appear to work.
The GTN 750 requires the PMS50 GTN 750 package to be installed on PC before enabling the option in the EFB. See Cockpit — Center Pedestal.
